Dokushoka Himegimi (Kanon Wakeshima)

Translated by NVVICIOUS

Dokushoka Himegimi
The Bookworm Princess (Heroine Syndrome)
watashi no naka ni wa mada kusari ni kakatte
deban o matteru watashi ga mou hitori ite
utareta hyoushi ni irekawatte shihai suru
risou no subete o ubatte yuku no
Still trapped in chains inside of me
The other me waits for her turn
Under attack we switch places and she is in control
Taking away everything that reminded of me
hiroin no you hontou no ai ga mitai
katsuji no naka de nozonda shi-n no dejavu
Like a heroine I want to see true love
From inside this book I long for a scene of dejavu

Kajitsu no Keikoku (Kanon Wakeshima)

Translated by NVVICIOUS

Kajitsu no Keikoku
The Fruit of Warning
negai ga kanau to iu akai kajitsu
yottsu no ashikase to toukakoukan
sono jouken wo hoobareba
nigeru te mo ashi mo ushinau deshou
A red fruit said that it grants wishes
A fair trade for those four shackles
If you stuff yourself with those terms
Then all means of escape will be lost

Tree of Sorrow (Kanon Wakeshima)

Translated by NVVICIOUS
Tree of Sorrow
kotoba yori kotae yori
tashika na nukumori wo namida no sukima kara
kogarete motomete iru no
More than words, more than answers
This particular warmth coming from between my tears
Is what I yearn for, search for
oka ni haeta tsumi no ki
mujitsu no shisha wo hitomi ni yakitsuke
shizuka ni nageku tamashii wo yadoshite
uttaeru omoi kizukarenai mama kasurete kieru
The tree of sorrow stands on a hill
The guiltless dead is burned into its memory
It quietly grieves as new souls are born
Feelings that need to be heard left unnoticed will fade and disappear

Celmisia (Kanon Wakeshima)

Translated by NVVICIOUS
Celmisia
himitsu ni shitai wa naisho ni shitai wa
dare ni mo iwanai wa kesshite iwanai wa
shiawase ga hoshii wa chiisakutte mo ii wa
I want to keep it a secret, I want to keep it confidential
I won't tell any soul, I won't tell, never tell
I just want happiness, even a little bit is fine
yakusoku shita koyubi zettai ni kirenai wa
shikarareta namida wa goji no chaimu made nagareru wa
I pinky promise you I will never break it
These tears after a scolding don't stop until the five o'clock chime

Lolita Work Libretto (Kanon Wakeshima)

Official notice at KanonWeb.

Translated by NVVICIOUS

Cello vocalist, Kanon Wakeshima's 2nd album "Lolita Work Libretto" is on sale. With Mana's (Malice Mizer ~now Moi dix Mois) composition, Kanon Wakeshima writes and records her own lyrics. It has a "pop-up book" and a "girl's dream" kind of concept.

Like a mysterious play, a young girl from the real world opens the world of dreams. And, like a fairytale story, fleeting through those pages of that pop-up book, lies an aspiring heroine.

Combining this album with classical & electronica music, as well as a unique visual sense of the world, was a great, fantastic concept.

As a child, we often read, over and over again, about the heroines in picture books. We mixed ourselves up with the characters and we lose our way in that mysterious world, as we tremble at the feel of that sensation.
